The formation of Inkwell Travels was guided by the principle that every country has more to offer than the usual tourist attractions. In the case of the Caribbean, there’s much more than sun, sea and sand. As one who has lived in three different countries, Collin Nash, Inkwell’s founder and president, has developed a deep, passionate appreciation for adventures that go beneath the surface of the countries which are the subject of the group tours he organizes.
While we will be only too happy to arrange visits to just about any destination our clients may desire, we specialize in organizing group tours to Cuba and its next-door neighbor and sister island Jamaica.
Our mission is to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience local life through the arts, culture and ecology. In so doing, we aim to give visitors a greater understanding and appreciation for life from the local perspective.
While ultimately we want visitors to discover life as it really is in their chosen destination, we also want to involve local people in helping make the trip and enjoyable, educational and engaging one. Better still, if we can create for them an opportunity to provide basic necessities for themselves and their families by playing a role as hosts to visitors, we will have accomplished our mission.
